As online interactions differ fundamentally from in-person academic engagement, all participants are required to adhere to a strict professional code of conduct.
◑ All forms of linguistic and symbolic communication must maintain a respectful, neutral, professional, and inclusive tone. Language should be objective, non-sexist, non-racist, nondiscriminatory, non-communal, and courteous at all times.
◑ Participants are expected to observe punctuality, clarity, precision, and strict adherence to allocated time limits to ensure the smooth and effective running of the symposium.
◑ All presentations will be recorded for archiving and possible future dissemination. Presenters will retain full copyright over their content.
For Session Chairs Session chairs will serve as moderators and are expected to uphold the highest professional and ethical standards. They must:
◑ Briefly remind presenters of their allocated time limits at the start of each presentation.
◑ Maintain professional neutrality and refrain from making personal remarks.
◑ Encourage relevant, concise, and well-formulated questions from the audience.
◑ Discourage irrelevant, overly generalized, or unfocused comments in order to maintain productive academic dialogue.
◑ Due to time constraints, avoid making extended personal comments and prioritize audience engagement.
◑ Strictly follow time-management signals provided by the technical team.
◑ Consult immediately with the technical team in the event of technical or connectivity issues and clearly communicate any decisions taken.
For Presenters
Presenters are expected to:
◑ Strictly adhere to their assigned time limits.
◑ Deliver their presentations in a clear, objective, and respectful manner.
◑ Avoid prescriptive, biased, or discourteous language.
◑ Submit presentation files (e.g., PowerPoint) in advance to minimize technical disruptions.
◑ Reserve the right to decline engagement with questions or comments that are irrelevant, abusive, or unclear.
◑ Ensure, where possible, a backup internet connection (e.g., mobile data) in case of power outages or connectivity problems.

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in moderation of participation or other appropriate actions by the organizing team to maintain a safe, respectful, and academically rigorous environment.
