Mardin Artuklu University, School of Foreign Languages was established in January 25, 2016, with the number 8562, according to the article 30 of the law dated March 28, 1983 and numbered 2809.

The School of Foreign Languages comprises of two departments; The Department of Translation and Interpreting established on 05.04.2017 with the number 24546, and the Department of Foreign Languages established on 14.09.2017.

The Department of Translation and Interpreting comprises two sections, namely English Translation and Interpreting, and Arabic Translation and Interpreting; whereas the Department of Foreign Languages includes Foreign Languages Preparatory Program.

The School shall begin receiving students for the English Translation and Interpreting Section as per 2019-2020 Academic Year.
