Academic and administrative staff working in the faculties and units of our university should receive information on intellectual and industrial property issues; To assist in the patent, utility model and design application process that will result from research and development activities in the projects carried out; In order to easily access all kinds of information and documents regarding national and international legislation regarding intellectual and industrial property rights and to provide expert support when necessary, TÜRKPATENT Trademark Authority dated 10.12.2021 and numbered 34/111, based on the letter written to the Presidency of the Turkish Patent Institute on 25.09.2021. By the decision of the board, TÜRKPATENT has accepted the establishment of the Information and Document Unit in our University.

In this context, the protocol determining the establishment principles of TÜRKPATENT Information and Document Unit was signed and sent to our University, and our Rector, Prof. Dr. With the signature of İbrahim ÖZCOŞAR, the unit was officially established on 10.12.2021.

Mardin Artuklu University has demonstrated the importance it attaches to scientific studies by establishing the "TÜRKPATENT Information and Document Unit" and has started its work to inform academic-administrative staff and students about industrial property rights (brand, patent, industrial design) and their protection, and to ensure the flow of technology protected by these rights.
