GENERAL INFORMATION

Mardin Artuklu University Turkish and Foreign Languages Teaching Application and Research Center (MAÜ-TÖMER) was established to teach Turkish to national and international students, improve their language skills, and facilitate their cultural adaptation. Our center also contributes to individuals' academic, professional, and social lives by organizing various foreign language courses.

Turkish Courses

Levels: Education is provided at A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1 levels based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Objective: To prepare students for university education and daily life by developing their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Duration: Each course lasts an average of 6–8 weeks.

Certificate: Successful students are awarded a “Turkish Proficiency Certificate.”

Foreign Language Courses

MAU-TÖMER organizes courses in English, Arabic, Persian, and other languages as needed.

General Language Courses: Aimed at developing daily communication skills.

Academic and Professional Courses: Specialized programs such as academic writing, business English, and tourism language.

Level Assessment: Participants are placed in appropriate groups based on a placement test administered before the course.

Teaching Method

Experienced teaching staff who are experts in their field are employed.

Modern teaching methods, digital materials, and practical activities are used in classes.

Students are encouraged to practice through cultural activities and conversation clubs.

Registration and Application

Registrations are accepted on a term basis.

Applications can be made through the TÖMER student affairs unit or the official website.

The documents required for registration are announced in the course announcements.
