In Department of Turkish literature, the topics include the last two centuries of the history of Turkish literature, and these are divided into sub-sections. Some of these sections are as follows:
Tanzimat Period Literature, 
Servet-i Fünûn Literature, 
Fajr-i Ati Literature, 
National Literature, 
Republic Period, 
Recent Turkish Literature. 
In addition, certain literary genres such as novels, stories and poems are discussed and the texts of prominent authors and poets in these genres are analysed. In this context, text analysis methods and literary theories are investigated. 
In the Department of New Turkish Literature, which has created a qualified identity for about 15 years, postgraduate studies are also carried out. In these studies, detailed academic production continues in the fields mentioned above.
