In Department of Turkish language and Literature, the main aim is to research written and oral sources from past to present and share these with our society as well as providing training to our students for being educator.

Our educational philosophy is academically to maintain competent position of our department and to convey current knowledge in the field of Turcology effectually.

Our graduates can find employment in the following institutions:

As an administrator in the field of education, culture and arts services in local governments,

As an editor, proofreader and copywriter in the publishing industry,

And our graduates may have a profession in Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Culture And Tourism, TRT, TİKA, Yunus Emre Institute,  General Directorate of State archives, turkish language association.

In our department, you have opportunities for receiving undergraduate and postgraduate education.  The postgraduate education consists of Turkish Folk Literature, Old Turkish Literature, Modern Turkish Literature and Modern Turkish Language.
