The Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department of Mardin Artuklu University, Faculty of Tourism, organized a technical trip to the Mezopotamya Gourmet Fair held in Diyarbakır on 21 November. Accompanied by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Lokman Toprak, and the department’s academic staff, 2nd-, 3rd- and 4th-year students had the opportunity to observe, explore, and taste regional products brought to the fair from all across Türkiye. Experiencing the country’s rich gastronomic diversity in one setting, students also interacted with sector representatives and gained insights into current trends in gastronomy. This technical trip served as a valuable applied learning experience that strengthened the students’ professional knowledge and skills.
