The Department of Basic Islamic Sciences is the largest academic unit of our faculty. The main purpose of the departments under the roof of the department is; To deal with the Islamic science and cultural heritage of more than fourteen centuries with an academic understanding based on the main sources of the religion of Islam, to respond to the current religious needs of today's people in this regard by taking advantage of the opportunities of the age and to raise people who can serve the society in this field. There are currently departments in the Department of Basic Islamic Sciences:
Tafsir, Hadith, Islamic Law, History of Kalam and Islamic Sects, Sufism, Arabic Language and Rhetoric, Reading the Quran and Recitation.
There is a master's program with thesis in the Department of Basic Islamic Sciences and an average of 50 students are admitted each year.
