Mardin Artuklu University supports a zero-waste system to reduce paper and plastic use in both internal and external operations. In this context, to reduce paper/plastic use in university units:
- Electronic documents should be widely used throughout the university.
- All internal and external documents should be managed by the Electronic Document Management System (EBYS) and Student Information System (OBS).
- Thanks to EBYS, announcements and official correspondence should be carried out without wasting paper.
- Double-sided printing should be encouraged when necessary.
- Functional printers should be located in common areas, not in every office.
- When necessary, graduation theses/assignments should be submitted digitally in Word/PDF format.
- Announcement posters should be made digitally on social platforms, without printing.
- Documents should be recycled by passing through a paper shredder.
- MAU's policy of "Reduce plastic cups in canteens and dining halls" should be expanded.
- All academic and administrative staff should be served beverages in glass glasses.
In this way, the use of paper/plastic is prevented except in cases of necessity.
