Various awareness trips were organized to raise awareness among students about zero waste. Students visited licensed recycling facilities, sanitary landfills, and composting sites, providing them with the opportunity to observe waste management processes firsthand. These trips increased students' knowledge of environmental management and fostered awareness of the integration of zero waste practices into daily life.
The Haşimoğlu Integrated Recycling Facility , located in the Midyat district , has been a particularly important destination during these trips. The trip, organized in collaboration with our university's Zero Waste and Environmental Management Coordination and the Zero Waste and Environmental Student Community, included visits to the Haşimoğlu Recycling Museum and various sections of the facility. During this trip, detailed information was obtained about the facility's operation, recycling processes, and environmental contributions.
