Certificate of Appreciation to MAU Zero Waste and Environmental Management Coordination Staff

Personnel who made significant contributions to environmental management, sustainability and zero waste practices at Mardin Artuklu University were awarded certificates of appreciation for their devoted work.

In accordance with Articles 122 and 4/A of the Civil Servants Law No. 657 , the personnel working within our university's Zero Waste and Environmental Management Coordination Unit were evaluated and rewarded for their contributions to unit activities, their efforts to raise environmental awareness, and their support for our university's environmental sustainability goals.

Certificates of appreciation were presented at a ceremony organized by Mardin Artuklu University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Doğan . In his speech, Vice Rector Doğan emphasized the crucial importance of the dedicated efforts of all staff members in embracing the zero-waste vision across the university and promoting environmentally friendly practices.

As part of the certificate presentation, Zero Waste and Environmental Management Coordinator Durmuş Ali Tekdamar , Deputy Coordinator Abdulbasıt Barık and staff member Mehmet Beşir Büyüktaş were honored with a certificate of appreciation for their activities within the scope of Zero Waste, Environmental Management, Sustainable Campus and Quality Processes that they carried out throughout 2024 .

In his speech at the presentation of the document, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Doğan said, "Our university's environmental sustainability policy is not merely an administrative obligation; it is a responsibility to leave a more livable campus for future generations. I congratulate all our employees who contributed to this process and thank them for their dedicated efforts."

Zero Waste and Environmental Management Coordinator Durmuş Ali Tekdamar stated that they will continue to systematically carry out environmental management processes throughout the university as a coordinator, saying, “This document is not only a token of appreciation, but also a reflection of the institutional value of our work.”

In line with its “Green Campus” and “Sustainable University” vision, our university will continue to strengthen environmentally sensitive practices, ensure the efficient use of natural resources, and spread zero waste awareness among all its stakeholders.
