In accordance with Mardin Artuklu University's Zero Waste and Environmental Management Directive, "Zero Waste Unit Officers" have been designated for all academic and administrative units within the university. A list of assigned officers, approved by the relevant administrator, has been created for each unit and reported to the coordinator. This initiative aims to make waste management processes more effective, sustainable, and auditable at the institutional level.
By appointing Unit Zero Waste Officers, the distribution of duties in the processes of separate collection, transportation, temporary storage and reporting of waste at source has been clarified; thus, the organizational infrastructure necessary to operate the zero waste system in accordance with standards across the university has been completed.
