BANKING AND INSURANCE PROGRAMME

Banks and Insurance are the most important financial institutions of modern free market economies. In addition to providing many services in their fields, these institutions also have a social function by providing the financing that companies need. Our department consists of two separate areas: banking and insurance. Banks are basically institutions that give loans and collect deposits. In addition, They also do things like giving letters of guarantee, making money orders, opening letters of credit and providing foreign trade financing, conducting foreign exchange transactions; portfolio management. Nowadays, banks have started to carry out transactions such as options, swaps and futures transactions. Banks are divided into different types according to the business they do, such as investment, trade and development banks. We know that international banking also plays a very important role in the globalization process. A banker is a professional person who has knowledge and expertise about these transactions.

Insurance institutions provide insurance to their customers in many different areas: in daily life it is known that there are many types of insurance such as health, life, traffic, earthquake, natural disaster, agriculture, accident, etc. Insurance companies also have international dimensions as they work in a hierarchical order at the international level with the practice of reinsurance. An insurer is a professional person who has knowledge and expertise about all insurance transactions and services. In Banking and Insurance courses, there are common Bu belge,güvenli elektronik imza ile imzalanmıştır. Evrak Tarih ve Sayısı: 17/04/2024-139718courses required for both banking and insurance. The number of branches increased from 6,100 to 11,236 in the same period. These numbers will probably increase much more depending on economic development and the sector's need for qualified staff and experts will increase even more. We can see the same development in the insurance sector: The number of companies, which was 55 in 2006, increased to 62 in 2015. In the same period, the number of insurance company employees increased from 13,617 to 19,353. There is also a need for qualified staff and experts in this sector
