EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES SOCIAL SERVICES PROGRAM
The Social Services Program aims to train qualified professionals who can work in public institutions and non-governmental organizations by providing theoretical knowledge and practical skills to improve the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. The Social Services program provides a two-year theoretical and work-based practical training at the associate degree level. The language of instruction is Turkish.
Defines theoretical and applied advanced-level knowledge in the field of social work.
Defines duties, authority, rights, and responsibilities within the framework of professional ethics, human rights, and social justice principles.
Defines the principles of teamwork required for interdisciplinary, inter-specialty, and inter-institutional collaboration necessitated by the nature of the social work field.
Utilizes advanced-level theoretical and applied knowledge in the field of social work in their employment settings and/or scientific studies.
Anticipates potential problems in the field of social work and takes necessary precautions.
Conducts studies to improve and develop existing social work practices in their employment settings and/or in the scientific arena.
Performs duties, exercises authority, and fulfills rights and responsibilities within the framework of professional ethics, human rights, and social justice principles.
Carries out work in accordance with the principles of teamwork required for interdisciplinary, inter-specialty, and inter-institutional collaboration.
Takes responsibility, individually or as a team member, in the execution of complex and unforeseen activities encountered in practices related to the field.
Independently conducts an advanced-level study related to the field.
Manages activities aimed at the development of subordinates within the framework of a project.
Takes risks and responsibilities in the implementationof knowledge, ideas, practices, or technologies that bring innovation to the field.
