The Mardin Castle Excavation Under the Scientific Supervision of Prof. Dr. Evindar Yeşilbaş Was Visited by Students of the Art History Department of Artuklu University

The excavation work at Mardin Castle, an important part of Mardin’s historical and cultural heritage, continues with great care under the scientific supervision of Prof. Dr. Evindar Yeşilbaş. Within this scope, students from the Art History Department of Mardin Artuklu University visited the excavation site in person, gaining a unique experience related to the region’s history.

The students received detailed information from experts about the findings uncovered during the excavation and the architecture of the structure, allowing them to support their theoretical education with field observation. This visit is of great importance both for learning archaeological excavation methods and for gaining a closer understanding of Mardin’s historical fabric.
