Dr. Fırat Allak Presents Seminar "Talisman, Belief, and Aesthetics: Mardin Museum Hamayils" at Mardin Advanced Technical School

The seminar, titled "Talisman, Belief, and Aesthetics: Mardin Museum Hamayils," organized in collaboration with the Mardin Artuklu University Art History Department and the Mardin Advanced Technical School, was presented by Dr. Fırat Allak in the Institute's Seminar Hall.

The seminar addressed the form, technical features, decorative approach, and intended uses of hamayils in the Mardin Museum collection. Participants were provided with comprehensive information on how hamayils have evolved in the context of belief, talisman, and aesthetics from the Middle Ages to the late Ottoman period and the early Republican era.

The event particularly drew attention for its place within the cultural heritage of hamayils, their connection to the talisman tradition, and the value they add to the aesthetic character of regional art. The seminar, which was held with the participation of Mardin Advanced Technical University teachers and master instructors, created an important cultural sharing environment that strengthened the cooperation between institutions.
