As of January 2025, our First and Emergency Aid Program has officially applied to the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council (MEDEK), thereby joining the quality evaluation process.

This comprehensive process examines the educational activities of our program from a multifaceted perspective and aims to enhance quality standards in the following areas:

 Improvement of student profiles

 Updating the curriculum and optimizing it according to the needs of health services

 Enhancing the professional and pedagogical competencies of the academic staff

 Strengthening the laboratory, practice areas, and technical infrastructure

 Defining professional skills and competencies in line with current standards

 Ensuring the measurability and traceability of program outcomes

The MEDEK evaluation process not only involves an objective analysis of current practices but also includes the creation of strategic roadmaps for sustainable development.
We strongly believe that this process will enhance the academic quality of our First and Emergency Aid Program, improve the quality of practical education, and strengthen its contribution to society.

It is anticipated that the studies to be conducted under the guidance of MEDEK experts will help our program become more visible, reliable, and competitive at both national and international levels.

First and Emergency Aid Program – MEDEK Accreditation Roadmap (Planning)

Our First and Emergency Aid Program plans to participate in the MEDEK (Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Health Education Programs) process as of 2025. The planned stages within this framework are as follows:

 January 2025: It is planned to submit the official accreditation application to MEDEK. Following the application, the evaluation calendar and procedural steps determined by MEDEK are expected to be communicated to the program.

 February – May 2025: The preparation process of the Self-Evaluation Report (SER) is planned to begin. During this period, program outcomes, educational objectives, curriculum, academic staff structure, physical infrastructure, and stakeholder feedback will be compiled.

 June 2025: Completion of the draft Self-Evaluation Report (SER) and its submission for internal stakeholder review, followed by revisions, is planned.

 July 2025: Uploading the finalized Self-Evaluation Report to the MEDEK system is planned. Additionally, it is aimed to review documentation, technical, and physical infrastructure before the site visit.

 August – October 2025: Completing all necessary preparations before the MEDEK evaluation visit is planned. Within this scope, presentation files, evidence documents, and stakeholder interview plans will be prepared.

November 3–5, 2025: The MEDEK evaluation team visit is planned to take place. During the visit, the program’s educational activities, management structure, quality assurance, and stakeholder relations will be reviewed on-site.

This roadmap aims to strengthen the quality assurance culture of our First and Emergency Aid Program, ensure the continuous improvement of educational processes, and conduct the MEDEK accreditation preparation process in a systematic manner.
