First and Emergency Aid Program Training Objectives

Objectives and Goals of the First and Emergency Aid Program

Objective 1: In line with the mission of Mardin Artuklu University, which is “to train individuals who contribute to regional development, are human-oriented, and support the provision of qualified healthcare services”; to train healthcare technicians who can work in pre-hospital emergency healthcare services, manage first and emergency intervention processes accurately and swiftly, possess professional knowledge, skills, and attitudes, and have developed a lifelong learning awareness.

Goal 1.1: To enable students to gain the ability to respond correctly and quickly in emergency situations.

Goal 1.2: To improve graduates’ awareness of lifelong learning.

Objective 2: To raise individuals who can perform practices in accordance with patient safety, professional ethics, professional legislation, and quality standards; who are sensitive to patient rights and ethical principles, and who possess a sense of professional responsibility.

Goal 2.1: To strengthen ethical values and patient safety culture during the education process.

Goal 2.2: To ensure that students develop behaviors in accordance with professional laws and regulations.

Objective 3: To contribute to the effectiveness and sustainability of emergency healthcare services by training graduates who are team-oriented, possess effective communication skills, have leadership potential, and are open to professional development.

Goal 3.1: To strengthen teamwork and communication skills among students.

Goal 3.2: To enhance leadership and decision-making competence in crisis situations.

Objective 4: To train individuals who adopt the culture of scientific thinking, analytical problem-solving, and lifelong learning; who are open to innovative approaches and able to adapt to changing healthcare technologies.

Goal 4.1: To develop students’ scientific research and critical thinking skills.

Goal 4.2: To equip students with the ability to adapt to innovations in healthcare technologies.

Objective 5: To train healthcare personnel who act with a sense of social responsibility, have high cultural awareness, are competent to take active roles in disasters and emergencies, and are resilient and well-equipped.

Goal 5.1: To ensure that students receive adequate training to take part in disaster and emergency situations.

Goal 5.2: To enhance social sensitivity and awareness of volunteerism.

Objective 6: To train healthcare professionals who can use technical equipment, tools, and devices employed in emergency healthcare services effectively and safely, and who possess the technical competence to achieve high professional standards during practice.

Goal 6.1: To improve students’ ability to safely use emergency vehicles and equipment.

Goal 6.2: To strengthen compliance with professional standards in practical training.

Objective 7: To train individuals who act in line with quality assurance principles in educational processes; who adopt a culture of continuous improvement, embrace a student-centered approach, value stakeholder feedback, and actively contribute to decision-making processes.

Goal 7.1: To effectively utilize student and stakeholder feedback in educational processes.

Goal 7.2: To increase students’ awareness of quality and continuous improvement.
