Mardin Artuklu University Vocational School of Health was established on 02.11.1996 as affiliated to Dicle University with the decision of the Council of Ministers no. 8655, and later was affiliated to Mardin Artuklu University, which was established with the law no. 5662 dating 29.05.2007.
Mardin Artuklu University Faculty of Health Sciences was established with the decision no. 30749 dating April 17, 2019 published in the official gazette in accordance with the Presidential Decree, to transform Mardin Artuklu University School of Health into Faculty of Health Sciences.
Mardin Artuklu University Faculty of Health Sciences; With 1 professor, 11 associate professors, 22 assistant professors, 6 lecturers, 12 research assistants and 1284 students; Nursing, Midwifery, Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Child Development, Social Work, Audiology and Health Management departments, it aims to train effective and successful professionals who respect universal and cultural values and are effective and successful in health services for the needs of the country.
“Department of Nursing”, which has been continuing education and training activities within Mardin Artuklu University School of Health since 1997 and graduating since 2001, is one of our strong departments and is in high demand, and undergraduate graduates are also in great demand in the health sector.
Founded in 2009 and graduating undergraduates since 2014, “Department of Midwifery” has an important place. The Department of Midwifery draws attention especially with its education process that provides clinical experience. Graduates have a wide range of knowledge and practical experience, especially in the fields of obstetrics and women's health, with their expertise, which is a great necessity in health services. Students graduating from this department have an important place both in their professional lives and in the health sector and play an active role in the provision of quality health services
Established in 2017 and later; Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Child Development, Social Work, Health Management and Audiology Departments are newly opened departments of our faculty that have not yet accepted students. The “Department of Health Management”, which aims to train qualified Health Management specialists who use scientific and technological methods, have education, research, management and leadership skills that the health sector needs, was established in 2021, and as of the 2021-2022 Spring semester; It continues to admit students to the Master's Degree in Health Management with Thesis (Regular Education) and Master's Degree in Health Management without Thesis (Second Education) programs.
