Mardin Artuklu University School of Health Sciences was established on November 2, 1996, by Council of Ministers Decision No. 8655 as an affiliate of Dicle University. It was later affiliated with Mardin Artuklu University, established by Law No. 5662 dated May 29, 2007. 

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Mardin Artuklu University was established by a decision published in the official gazette in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 30749 dated April 17, 2019, to transform the Mardin Artuklu University School of Health Sciences into the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The Faculty of Health Sciences has 2 professors, 11 associate professors, 23 assistant professors, 6 lecturers, 11 research assistants, and 1,244 students. It aims to train effective and successful professionals in health services that respect universal and cultural values and meet the needs of the country through its departments of Nursing, Midwifery, Nutrition and Dietetics, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Child Development, Social Services, Audiology, and Health Management.

The Nursing Department, which has been conducting education and training activities within the Mardin Artuklu University School of Health since 1997 and has been graduating students since 2001, is one of our strongest departments and is in high demand. In addition, graduates with bachelor's degrees are also in high demand in the health sector.

The Midwifery Department, established in 2009 and awarding bachelor's degrees since 2014, holds an important place. The Midwifery Department stands out with its educational process that provides clinical experience. Its graduates possess extensive knowledge and practical experience, particularly in the fields of obstetrics and women's health, with expertise that is highly sought after in healthcare services. Students graduating from this department have secured an important place both in their professional lives and in the healthcare sector, playing an active role in providing qualified healthcare services.

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, established in 2010, accepted its first students in the 2018 academic year, and the Bachelor's Program in Nutrition and Dietetics is in high demand.

The Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Child Development, Social Services, Health Management, and Audiology Departments, established in 2017 and later, are also newly opened departments of our faculty that have not yet accepted students. The “Health Management Department” aims to train qualified Health Management specialists who use scientific and technological methods and possess education, research, management, and leadership skills, meeting the needs of the health sector. was established in 2021 and has been accepting students for the Master's Degree with Thesis in Health Management (Full-time) and Master's Degree without Thesis in Health Management (Part-time) programs since the Spring semester of 2021-2022.
