Visit to MAU by the British Ambassador to Ankara British Ambassador to Ankara Jill Morris visited Mardin Artuklu University.

British Ambassador to Ankara Jill Morris and her delegation visited Mardin Artuklu University. Ambassador Morris was welcomed by MAU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Demirhan.

During the meeting held at the Rector's Office, discussions were held on academic collaborations and international education opportunities. During the visit, the delegation introduced MAU students to the Chevening Scholarships program, which offers postgraduate education opportunities in the United Kingdom.
Providing information about the scholarship program, the delegation emphasized that Chevening Scholarships offer talented students with high leadership potential, selected from different countries around the world, the opportunity to pursue a one-year master's degree in the United Kingdom. They stated that the fully-funded scholarship program supports students' professional and academic development, while also enabling them to establish a broad international network.
MAU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Demirhan drew attention to the university's internationalization vision and stated that they attach importance to collaborations with foreign countries. He also shared with the delegation MAÜ's stance against the genocide in Gaza and the “Gaza-Sensitive Campus” initiatives carried out on campus. Demirhan emphasized that MAÜ students, educated with an approach based on science, knowledge, and wisdom, will continue this principled approach in their international education experiences.
