Support from MAU TTO to Young Scientists: TÜBİTAK 2209 Workshop Completed

The TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Student Research Projects Workshop, conducted by Mardin Artuklu University's Technology Transfer Office (TTO), concluded with strong participation. The program aimed to develop students' research skills, foster a culture of project development, and foster scientific work habits.

In five different groups, students from various faculties developed projects under the guidance of academic mentors during the training, which was conducted both face-to-face and online. Participants received hands-on training on TÜBİTAK application processes, project writing, method selection, budget preparation, and consulting.

During the workshop, nearly 100 students received mentorship, and approximately 80 project ideas were brought to the TÜBİTAK application stage. The projects were refined to scientific standards under the guidance of academic advisors.

MAÜ TTO General Manager Lecturer Mümtaz Korkutan said, “We will continue to mentor young researchers to increase our university's research potential. Such efforts, which support scientific production, are one of the strongest reflections of Artuklu's innovative vision.”

Academics participating in the workshop included Prof. Dr. Mehmet Behzat Ekinci, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasfiye Bayram Değer, Dr. Deniz Işıker Bedir, Dr. Ahmet Bütün,Dr Öğr Üyesi Onur Akgül ,Dr Öğr Üyesi Onur Akgül , Dr. Hande Sapmaz Aydın, and Res. Asst. Kasım Elalmış and Lecturer Doğan Ataman participated.

The program's outcomes are planned to be submitted to TÜBİTAK shortly, and accepted projects will be strengthened with in-university support. Mardin Artuklu University's TTO will continue to develop its research, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem through these regular workshops.
