Our University Continues its Rapid Rise to Become the Most Sustainable University in the World
The 2023 results of the GreenMetric World University Ranking System, which evaluates world universities in the fields of environmental awareness, energy, waste, transportation management, education and sustainability, have been announced.
Our university continues to make a name for itself with its devoted efforts and achievements in the field of environmental sustainability. In the 2023 UI GreenMetric rankings, our university once again demonstrated its impressive performance in environmental sustainability, rising from 539th to 391st place in the ranking of universities worldwide.
Among the universities in Turkey that are eligible for the GreenMetric Green University Index, our University Mardin Artuklu has made significant progress in environmental sustainability efforts in the country, rising from 46th to 36th place.
While our university ranked 539th among 1050 universities worldwide in 2022, it rose 148 places to rank 391st among 1183 universities worldwide in 2023. In Turkey's rankings, it rose from 46th place among 98 universities in 2022 to 36th place in 2023.
Known as a comprehensive review platform that evaluates the environmental performance of universities around the world, UI GreenMetric tracks the successful implementation of environmentally friendly projects and policies carried out by universities around the world in various fields.
