The education period in the Natural Building Stones Technology Department is 4 semesters and the language of instruction is 100% Turkish. The aim of the department is to functionally teach traditional and modern architectural teaching techniques in the fields of processing, assembly line and restoration of natural building stones needed by public and private sector organizations, as well as to research and reveal the physical and chemical properties of natural building stones, to train techniques adopted as a principle and to process natural building stones. To offer qualified individuals who want to work in our facilities to the service of the sector. It aims to train qualified intermediate manpower, which is needed not only regionally but nationally in information technologies, by providing technical personnel who are equipped with the basic knowledge of natural building block sciences, have technical knowledge and experience in using CAD programs, and can easily adapt to renewed technology.
In order to graduate from the program, students must take at least 120 ECTS credits. Additionally, in order to graduate from the program, students must complete their summer internship of 30 working days and 240 hours at the end of the second semester.
Our program started accepting students as of the 2018 fall semester and the department quota is 20 people. There are two CNC machines in the department, one large and the other small, and technological support is provided to education in addition to traditional education. In addition to the classrooms, there is 1 computer laboratory and 1 workshop.
