MAUM Contributed Digital Cultural Heritage Support to the “One Code One Story” Project
Mardin Artuklu University’s Mardin Research Application and Research Center (MAUM) contributed as a partner in the field of digital cultural heritage to the “One Code One Story” project carried out by the Nisibis Academy Student Community within the scope of the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ UNIDES Program.
Within the project, MAUM provided technical and academic support during the preparation of digital content for important cultural heritage sites in Mardin, including the Kasımiye Madrasa, Mardin Grand Mosque, and the Mardin Olgunlaşma Institute. The Center contributed to the compilation of cultural content, the development of the project website infrastructure, the creation of QR code systems, and the improvement of digital accessibility processes.
Through the QR codes placed at the sites, visitors were able to access historical and cultural information quickly and easily via digital platforms. In this way, the project aimed to support cultural heritage through contemporary technologies and strengthen the visitor experience.
As part of its institutional vision and mission, MAUM continues to prioritize the digital documentation, accessibility, and academic dissemination of Mardin’s historical, cultural, and artistic heritage. In this regard, the project is considered an important example of expanding digital applications for the preservation of cultural heritage.
The Center remains committed to contributing, through partnership-based collaborations, to student-oriented academic and cultural projects conducted within the university and to increasing the visibility of Mardin’s cultural values on digital platforms.
