The second event of the new academic year was organized in the atelier of Mardin Artuklu University, Midyat Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Metalcraft and Jewelry Design.
Working in this sector since the age of 12, Aday Gürkan organized a workshop titled "Stone Setting Techniques" at our faculty's Jewelry Design Workshop. The event, which was conducted under the supervision of the head of department Assoc. Prof. Nesrin Yeşilmen, was attended by second and third year students. The word setting literally means to place, to hammer or to fix. With this workshop, the attention of the department students was drawn to setting, which is the profession least affected by industrialization in the sector.
