The first event of the new academic year was organized in the atelier of Mardin Artuklu University, Midyat Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Metalcraft and Jewelry Design.The workshop titled "Lost Wax Technique", which dates back to the Bronze Age, was held in our faculty's Jewelry Design Atelier with our invited guests. The event, which was carried out with Menci Çelebi Aygün and Muhammed Aygün from the Hicret Jewelry company operating in Midyat, and the head of department Assoc. Prof. Nesrin Yeşilmen, was benefited by second and third-year students. In general terms, this workshop, which explains the process of pouring a liquid metal into a heat-resistant mold and solidifying it to take the shape in the mold, is a technique that our students who are considering mass and standard production will apply.
