Jewellery Design Student Ekrem Acabey is in Spain as Part of an Erasmus+ Project

A 40-day project under the "European Solidarity Corps," one of the Erasmus+ project types, is ongoing in Plasencia, Spain

Ekrem Acabey, a student in the Department of Jewelry Design, is participating in the "Active Villagers" project with a €1,176 grant. A total of six volunteers are working on the project. This program, implemented with two young people from Spain, two from Romania, and two from Turkey, is demonstrating solidarity with the local community in the rural area of Plasencia.

The "Active Villagers" project aims to engage children, youth, adults, and the elderly living in rural areas in sports activities that they can implement in their daily lives and to utilize their free time through sports. Volunteers will be responsible for teaching and managing various sports activities for the local community. The project will run from June 17 to July 28, 2025.
