Erasmus+ Project named "Self-Care Strategies for Sustainable Youth Work" Was Held in Estonia
Erasmus+ KA151 Project, which was held between May 11-18, brought together participants from 9 different countries in Estonia.
Burnout syndrome and stress are frequently encountered problems by those working in the youth sector. In order to provide solutions to individuals in this regard, 3 institutions represented Türkiye in the project in Estonia, which aimed to teach emotional, mental, and social self-care skills. Res. Asst. İzzet ZORLU from Mardin Artuklu University, Prof. Dr. Serdal SEVEN from Istanbul University, and Ferhat ŞİMŞEK from Tokat Science High School also made presentations introducing their institutions in the project.
20 youth workers from 9 countries who came together for the project benefited from the training by sharing their experiences, participating in discussions, generating solutions, and learning from their peers. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants established a supportive network and developed concrete tools for sustainable youth work. The importance of cooperation between institutions was also emphasized in the 6-day training, where stress and risk factors that individuals encounter in social life were identified and discussed. The project also sought tips on creating healthy routines and aimed to create a personalized self-care action plan for sustainable well-being.
The project was held in Narva, Estonia, on May 11-18 with participants from Portugal, Spain, Lithuania, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, and Türkiye, organized by the NGO named Vitatiim.
