Department of Metalcraft and Jewellery Design Signed the First Erasmus+ Student and Staff Mobility Agreement with Poland



Students of Mardin Artuklu University, Midyat Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Metalcraft and Jewelry Design will be able to continue one semester of their education in Poland at the art school called The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design.

 

     Erasmus+ Student and Staff Mobility agreement, which Res. Asst. İzzet ZORLU, who made contacts at the relevant university for education and exhibition activities in November and December 2024, made preliminary negotiations, was signed by the parties. The signatures were made following the online meeting held with Erasmus+ Departmental Coordinator Dr. Aysel ALVER, Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator Lecturer İrem KARAMIK KAYA and academic/administrative staff from Poland who are in the same position.

     Content of the Agreement and Introduction of the Art Academy
 

     According to the agreement, students of the Department of Metalcraft and Jewelry Design will be able to study for one semester at the Design Department of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design. This agreement also includes the mobility of academic staff of our university's Faculty of Fine Arts and Midyat Faculty of Art and Design. The university, located in Wroclaw, Poland, is an art academy accredited by two important agencies, one based in Poland and the other in the USA (PKA-NASAD). This school, which is the only art academy in Poland and Europe that has reached the accredited standards of the USA, offers an important opportunity for our students and academics.
