The Library and Documentation Directorate has been in service since April 6, 2009.
Having moved to its new building in 2017, the Library and Documentation Directorate operates within a four-story structure covering an area of 12,000 square meters. It provides services including resting areas accommodating up to 1000 users simultaneously, study areas, computer usage spaces, computer laboratories, cinema halls, fully isolated study areas, individual and group study cabins, an accessible study cabin, a 24/7 study area, and numerous seminar-meeting rooms.
Library Collection
Our collection consists of publications acquired through purchase and donations.
We have nearly 100,000 printed books in our collection. In addition to these, we offer our readers access to millions of digital resources such as electronic journals, articles, books, newspapers, and more. The library operates with an open-shelf system.
Library Services
Loan Service: Our library lends cataloged publications to members according to their membership status.
Academic Staff: 15 books for a duration of 30 days
Administrative Staff: 7 books for a duration of 30 days
Master's and PhD Students: 10 books for a duration of 30 days
Undergraduate Students: 7 books for a duration of 21 days
Membership
Membership to our library is granted directly with the identity document provided by the university. Updating your information by visiting our library is sufficient for membership.
Electronic journals and databases are accessible 24 hours a day within the campus.
Reference collections and current periodicals are available for use only within the library premises.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Requests for borrowing information resources not available in library collections from other institutions can be made by applying to the Library and Documentation Directorate.
Requests are limited to 5 information resources simultaneously.
Requests with unidentified bibliographic information will be notified to the requester and canceled.
Extension of the loan period for information resources borrowed from other institutions is subject to the permission of the lending institution.
If information resources borrowed from other institutions are lost or damaged, the rules of the lending institution apply. Access to the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service is not available until the penalty fee for late or incomplete returns is paid.
