Our faculty, named "Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies in Kızıltepe," was established by the decision of the Presidency, published in the Official Gazette numbered 31768 on March 4, 2022, under Presidential Decision No. 5252 dated March 3, 2022.
I have assumed the position of Dean at our faculty starting from February 26, 2024, based on the recommendation of our esteemed Rector and the appointment letter numbered 136165 dated March 8, 2024, from the Council of Higher Education.
With a strong vision and an innovative mission, we continue our activities with the principles and goals of our university. We are determined and eager to conduct the most beneficial studies for our region and country, adding value scientifically, technologically, socio- economically, and socio-culturally to our university, students, scientific community, and local people.
In line with the mission and goals of our university, we aim to integrate closely with our city, engage in dialogue with industry, public institutions, and civil society organizations, coordinate joint projects, and strengthen inter-institutional cooperation, all with a perspective of serving the city and leaving a positive mark on the wider community.
The Mardin Plain, situated within the fertile Mesopotamian Valley, holds special significance and richness for our faculty, dedicated to the notion of "agricultural science and technology."
I am confident that through the departments we will establish within our faculty, such as Field Crops and Plant Protection, approved by the Council of Higher Education on February 28, 2024, we will make valuable contributions to this potential. We are continuing efforts to open other departments within our faculty in due course.
