PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
ERASMUS+ COORDINATION UNIT PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Performance indicators (criteria) are used to demonstrate the extent to which set targets have been achieved. Performance indicators are classified as input, output, outcome, quality, and efficiency indicators.
Input Indicators: These are the human, financial, and physical resources required for the production or delivery of a policy, product, or service.
Example Input Indicators: number of incoming students, number of incoming staff, incoming grants and quotas
Output Indicators: These refer to the quantity of products produced or services delivered. Outputs are usually tangible and answer the question of what was produced or delivered. Output indicators are often directly controlled by the university but do not always provide information on the level of results achieved.
Example Output Indicators: number of outgoing students, number of outgoing staff, number of bilateral agreements
Outcome Indicators: These relate to the effects that result from the products produced or services delivered. They show how successful and to what extent the activities and outputs have achieved their goals. Outcome indicators answer the questions “What result do we expect?” and “What impact do we want to create?”
Example Outcome Indicators: utilization rate of grants, active usage rate of bilateral agreements
Quality Indicators: These show the degree to which the expectations of beneficiaries of products or services are met.
Example Quality Indicators: satisfaction rate, re-application rate for mobilities
Efficiency Indicators: These express the relationship between the output and the inputs used to obtain that output.
Example Efficiency Indicators: grant amount per student and staff, quota ratio per university
To measure performance indicators, our unit has created this table.
