About the Department

The Department of Assessment and Evaluation in Education is housed within the Department of Educational Sciences. One Associate Professor serves in the department. The aim of the department is to evaluate student achievement and development in educational processes, assess the effectiveness of educational programs, and research and implement various assessment and evaluation methods. Accordingly, efforts are made within the department to improve the quality of the education system, support student achievement and development, and follow innovations in education.

We aim to enhance education quality by objectively evaluating student achievement and development and improving learning environments. Simultaneously, we strive to lead in knowledge and practices in this field by closely monitoring the latest methodologies and technological innovations in education. Our mission is focused on ensuring that assessment and evaluation processes in education are conducted fairly, transparently, and effectively. Additionally, we see supporting teachers in their assessment and evaluation skills and enhancing their professional capacities as an integral part of our mission. In this way, we aim to contribute to the sustainable improvement of assessment and evaluation practices in education.
