Established in April 2010 under the Faculty of Letters at Mardin Artuklu University, the Department of Educational Sciences contributes significantly to regional and national educational development through its academic, pedagogical, and scientific work.
The department consists of three academic divisions:

Currently, the department hosts 10 faculty members and 1 research assistant. Through its thesis and non‑thesis master's programs, the department supports the academic and professional growth of graduate students and aims to open doctoral programs when appropriate academic conditions are met.
The Department of Educational Sciences has undertaken numerous projects, research initiatives, and publications that contribute to improving the quality of the Turkish education system. Through collaborations with the Ministry of National Education, the European Union, and various institutions, it continues to support regional development and educational innovation.
