An Online Periodicals Meeting Was Held at the Invitation of MAU Scientific Publications Coordinator Prof. Dr. Adnan OKTAY
An online Periodicals Meeting was held upon the invitation of Prof. Dr. Adnan Oktay, the Scientific Publications Coordinator of Mardin Artuklu University (MAU).
The meeting was attended by the editors of the 10 journals published under MAU Press, as well as administrative and academic staff involved in related responsibilities. During the meeting, which featured an extensive agenda, discussions were held on a wide range of topics—from journal management to author and reviewer processes, from social media accounts to journal writing guidelines.
In line with the motto “towards higher-quality journals,” questions were addressed with appropriate and sustainable responses. The meeting lasted approximately two hours. At the conclusion, it was emphasized that new processes and procedures are needed to advance the quality of our journals.
The meeting ended with the acknowledgment that it is necessary to initiate new rules, practices, proposals, and implementation processes to further improve both the journals and the publishing house.
