BILKOR Discusses Journals and MAU Publications Every Thursday
The MAU Scientific Publications Coordination Office is launching a new initiative. According to this new practice introduced by BILKOR, meetings will be held every Thursday at 4 p.m. for exactly 44 minutes to discuss our journals. The Coordination Office encourages and recommends that the management teams of the 10 journals and MAU Press gather every Thursday at 4 o’clock for 44 minutes to talk about their journals and publications.
It is emphasized that this is highly significant for our newly established journals and publishing house. The Coordination Office will continue implementing this practice within its own structure. BILKOR also encourages each journal to meet at least once every two weeks to address issues, challenges, article processes, and similar matters.
Alongside this initiative, BILKOR has incorporated the following meetings into its work plan:
Meetings with journal editors
Meetings with journal management teams
Meetings with journal secretariats
Meetings with journal layout/production teams
Planned visits to journals
BILKOR will also organize programs to transform all this accumulated experience into a mutual exchange with relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, to closely observe the experiences and processes of journals outside our university, BILKOR has added biannual meetings with stakeholder groups, teams, NGOs, publishing houses, and journals to its annual planning.
