About Erasmus

The Anthropology Department at Mardin Artuklu University provides students with the opportunity to engage in a semester or year-long study abroad experience at one of our partner universities through the student exchange program. Since 2014, our department has actively participated in the European Union's Erasmus+ Program.

Participating in a study abroad program like Erasmus+ offers an invaluable international experience, allowing students to immerse themselves in different cultures, discover shared elements among diverse societies, and enhance their communication and language skills.

Erasmus+ Program participants from our university can spend either three months or an entire academic year at partner universities, with access to EU mobility grants. Upon completing the exchange period, students return to their home universities to fulfill their program requirements.

Credits earned at partner universities are subject to approval by our Anthropology Department, and students submit their applications for graduation to our department coordinator in conjunction with the Erasmus Office.

Management of the Erasmus+ Program at Mardin Artuklu University falls under the Erasmus Coordinator, operating within the Institutional International Relations Coordinator's purview. The Erasmus Coordination Office oversees announcements, applications, student selection, grants, and related administrative matters. Furthermore, our Anthropology Department appoints an Erasmus Department Coordinator responsible for academic guidance and departmental agreements.
