Pandemic Announcement

                                                                       OUR DEAR STUDENTS
After the separation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are starting face-to-face education as of 27.09.2021 Monday. However, considering that the pandemic still maintains, we have taken the necessary precautions in all of our units in order for you to receive education in a healthy environment. But, we also need your help in order to maintain face-to-face education in these conditions. It is essential that you follow the rules regarding the pandemic and pay attention to the warnings. In this sense, we ask you to be sensitive to the following rules listed below.

Building Entrances and Classrooms

  •   HES code inspection will be made by the officials until 10.00 in the entrances of buildings. After 10.00, the inspection will continue to be conducted in the entrances of campus areas. Please Show your HES code when asked.
  •   Pay attention to the social distance rules everywhere and in the entrances and exits of buildings. Interpersonal distance should be at least 1 meter.
  •   Wear your mask during the lessons.
  •   Avoid sharing classroom equipment (notebook, eraser, pen etc.).
  •   Increase the distance between desks (should be at least 1 meter).
  •   Make sure to ventilate classrooms during the breaktimes.
  •   Make sure to open the windows during the breaktimes for fresh air flow.
  •   Make sure to leave the classrooms for outdoors and ventilate the classrooms for at least 10 minutes by leaving the classroom windows and doors wide open.
  •   Keep in mind to either wash or sanitize your hands regularly after going in or out of class and/or touching surfaces and classroom equipment. 

Follow the rules regarding mask, distance and hygiene.

  •  Make sure to wear your masks while you are not eating or drinking.
  •  Do not spend much time indoors.
  •  Do not touch open surfaces unless necessary.
  •  Pay attention to the distance of the tables which has to be at least 2 meters.
  •   Make sure to follow the lunch hours order to protect social distanceCanteen, Dining Halls and Cafeterias

Library, Reading and Waiting Halls

  •  Follow the rules regarding interpersonal social distance, mask and hygiene.
  • Try to minimize the interaction to objects such as books, magazines and brochures.
  • Pay maximum attention to protect your social distance of at least 2 meters.
  • Try to utilize digital sources rather than physical objects.
  • Make sure to sanitize your hands before and after using the books.
  • Follow the rules regarding the seating arrangement and safe distance.

Rules regarding the Conference and Meeting Halls

  • Try to conduct the meetings via phone, e-mail or text message instead of face-to-face meetings unless necessary.
  •  Follow the rules regarding mask, distance and hygiene during the meetings.
  •  Follow the rules regarding safe distance in every meeting. Make sure there is at least 1.5-meter distance between people in the meetings that are obliged to be conducted face to face.
  •  Try to open the doors and windows of the meeting room to make sure the room ventilates and have breaks frequently.
  • Make sure to stand on the safe distance spots during meetings that are obliged to be conducted face to face and not to use other personnel’s vehicle and equipment
