Kurdish Course for Foreigns

Kurdish (Kurmanji) Basic Level Course (Syllabus)

 

 

Kurmanji basic level course aims to teach the basic level of Kurmanji to English speakers. In the course, English is going to be used as the medium language. In the process of teaching, items of grammar are not broken down into isolated units but introduced in a natural and authentic context.  Every week, grammar and vocabulary which are related to the week’s topic are going to be given. Moreover, the topics are prepared according to functional daily life usage. Auditory and visual materials will be used according to the purpose of the week’s topics. Nominal phrases and sentences are going to be given in the process of the course. The verbal sentences will be given at the next level. In the vocabulary, the words and phrases which are related to every week’s topics are aimed to be given. Greetings and introducing yourself, your family, your life and etc. will be given according to their functional daily life usages. The objectives of the course are:

Speaking:

Asking and answering simple questions on basic topics,

Using simple phrases that are set in nominal sentences.

Listening:

Understanding familiar phrases and sentences are about the topics given in the course when people speak slowly and clearly.

Reading:

Reading nominal phrases and sentences which are related to the topics introduced in the course.

Writing:

Writing nominal phrases and sentences which are about the topics in the course.
